Six people showed up for snorkelling on a recent Saturday morning in the District of Saanich, BC. Two had brand new open cell wetsuits and one was so enthusiastic that he did not even bother with a wetsuit.
The cove provided good shelter from the southwest wind. The water temperature was 9 C and the underwater visibility was about 8 metres.
