Yesterday I went snorkelling at the Ogden Point Breakwater in Victoria, BC with one of my outdoor swimming buddies.
Conditions were just a bit on the rough side for holding position while trying to photograph anything in the shallow water along the blocks. The water temperature was 8 C and the visibility was typical for this time of year.
The first creature in the above video is a blood star. This is one of the less common ones because of its white centre. To me, the second one looks more like a mottled star than anything else.
